Brent Gambill

Managing Director, Track Communications

NASCAR

Brent S. Gambill has built a career developing communications and digital strategies and practices. He currently serves as Managing Director, Track Communications at NASCAR. In this role, he oversees the dynamic Track Communications department, leading strategic communications for all NASCAR-owned racetracks and facilities, including public and media relations, crisis communications, executive visibility, media training, stakeholder communications, and race weekend media support.

He also serves as NASCAR’s communications liaison for Speedway Motorsports and independent racetracks hosting NASCAR races across national series. Brent leads annual communications planning for the announcement of NASCAR national series schedules and oversees strategic communications for new events, including NASCAR San Diego (2026), NASCAR Chicago Street Race (2023–2025), NASCAR Mexico City (2025), The Clash at Bowman Gray Stadium (2025–2026), and The Clash at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum (2022–2024). He has been part of the NASCAR Communications team, based in Charlotte, N.C., and Daytona Beach, Fla., since 2020.

Prior to this, Brent served as Director of Communications & Digital at Richmond Raceway, part of International Speedway Corporation (ISC), beginning in 2016. He led the organization’s strategic communications and public relations efforts, including oversight of digital platforms (website, social media, and video production), branding and creative services, and digital and email marketing. He also led the development and execution of the communications and digital strategy for the Richmond Raceway Reimagined infield redevelopment project in 2017–2018. NASCAR and ISC merged in the fall of 2019.

Brent previously built two digital practices for full-service agencies. As Senior Director of Digital at Mitchell Communications Group, a Dentsu agency, he established the digital and social media practice and developed integrated digital strategies for clients and new business. His client portfolio included Walmart, Procter & Gamble, Hilton, Del Monte, Nissin, Old Spice, and Swiffer. He also led internal marketing initiatives and external content marketing strategies for the agency. In 2012, he founded and directed the digital practice at Martin-Wilbourn Partners (now Allegiance Consulting Group) in Little Rock, Ark., where he served as Vice President, Digital & Social Media, developing comprehensive digital and communications strategies for a diverse client base.

Brent has spent the majority of his career in sports. Prior to NASCAR, he was Executive Producer for Sports Programming and MLB Network Radio at SiriusXM in Washington, D.C., and New York, N.Y. He originally joined XM Satellite Radio as a producer, working with Los Angeles Dodgers broadcaster and former New York Yankees and ESPN talent, Charley Steiner. He later founded SiriusXM Sports’ social media function, developing strategy, standards, and training while directing social media efforts across major sports properties, including Major League Baseball, National Basketball Association, National Football League, National Hockey League, NASCAR, PGA Tour, and NCAA.

He began his career in public relations with the Los Angeles Dodgers in Vero Beach, Fla.

Brent is a member of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA), where he served as Chair of the PRSA Sports & Entertainment Section (2023). He is also a member of the National Motorsports Press Association and the Society for American Baseball Research. He previously supported the Broyles Award, which honors the nation’s most outstanding assistant college football coach, as part of Rotary International, and served on the board of the Rotary District Leadership Academy for Rotary District 6150. He currently volunteers with The NASCAR Foundation, Make-A-Wish, Special Olympics, and other local organizations.
