Ron Thomas

Ron Thomas is Managing Director, StrategyFocused HR-MENA, based in Dubai. He is also a senior faculty member and representative of the Human Capital Institute [ ] covering the MENA region He was formerly CEO of Great Place to Work-Gulf countries, also based in Dubai. A former CHRO who was based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, he holds certifications from the Human Capital Institute as Global Human Capital Strategist [ GHCS ], Master Human Capital Strategist (MHCS), Strategic Workforce Planner (SWP). Ron's prior roles included senior HR positions with Xerox HR services, IBM, and Martha Stewart Living. Board memberships include the Harvard Business Review Advisory Council, ,McKinsey Quarterly Executive Online Panel, and HCI's Expert Advisory Council on Talent Management Strategy. He received the Outstanding Leadership Award for Global HR Excellence at the World Human Resources Development Congress in Mumbai, and was named as one of the 50 Most Talented Global HR Leaders in Asia

Albert Hakkers

Former HR Director EuropeDiageo

Albert Hakkers, Human Resources Director Europe, joined Diageo in February 2008 and is member of the Global HR Team and Executive Team in Western Europe. In his current role he is responsible for the people strategy for all business units in the region. Before Diageo he worked as Senior HR Director at Microsoft for EMEA (Europe, Middle East & Africa). During his 10 year career span at Microsoft he also held the role of HR Director for Germany and Benelux and contributed to the company winning the Best Employer Award in many countries several times in a row. Before joining Microsoft, Albert Hakkers held various international Human Resources functions at AT&T and Lucent Technologies, which involved assignments in various countries, including Hungary, Germany, Russia and Saudi Arabia. Albert Hakkers graduated with a degree in Human Resources Management in the Netherlands and has since followed various international leadership programmes, notably at Cranfield in the UK, Warthon in the US and INSEAD in France.

Julia von Dewall

Global Talent DirectorUnilever

Julia von Dewall is the Global Talent Director at Unilever based in London. In her long term career at Unilever, she has held several senior HR generalist roles as the Global HR Director for Ice Cream & Beverages in London and the Global HR Director for the Pepsi Lipton Joint Venture based in Geneva. Julia holds a law degree and bar exam from the University of Bonn (Germany) and an LL.M. from University of Notre Dame Law School (USA). As member of the Rotary Club in London, she actively engages in voluntary work.

Yolaine von Barczy

Former Vice President Human Resources FranceBristol-Myers Squibb

Yolaine von Barczy has more than 20 years of experience in HR in different markets. She spent the last 10 years at Bristol-Myers Squibb (BMS) where her most recent position was Vice-President of HR in France, the largest affiliate of BMS outside the US. Prior to that she led BMS European Talent activities and was also head of HR for a region comprised of more than 20 markets including Nordics, Ireland, Switzerland, Central and Eastern Europe, Benelux, Greece, Turkey and Russia. Before joining BMS, she was the HR director for Biogen Idec International operations and head of HR Europe for Tektronics. Yolaine worked the first 7 years of her career in Germany where she held various generalist and specialist HR positions in head offices and production sites. Throughout her career she has developed a strong focus on organizational change and renewal, talent management and business innovation. Yolaine is also a certified executive coach. She is actively supporting charitable work with students from disadvantaged areas in France.

Teddy Frank

Teddy Frank, (Former) VP, Global Lead for Culture and Change Management, Philips, She brings her passion and over 30 years of experience to her current consulting practice as a Master Facilitator, Coach and Advisor on cultural transformation for senior leadership teams. She is recognized as an innovator in helping build human-centered, agile organizations by promoting authentic leadership, cultural transformation and broad scale engagement at all levels of the organization. Teddy is a trained as a clinical social worker, group psychotherapist, Barrett values practitioner and organizational effectiveness consultant. Most recently, as Vice President, Global Culture and Change Management Lead for Philips, Teddy developed the enterprise-wide strategy for cultural transformation and established a sustainable transformational leadership practice.

Ravi Singh

Head of Talent RelationsTHE One Dubai

Ravi Singh is currently the head of talent relations at The One, a retail company that has five years in a row won the top 10 Great Place to Work award, top employer for women and in 2013 top employer for Millennial. This year the One won the top 5 companies to work for in Asia. Ravi’s main focus in the company are Strategic Planning and Implementation of Business Plans from HR perspective, developing operational and Training structures and talent growth for the business. Other functions include, Policy writing, Payroll, Government Affairs, Talent Development, Creating Workplace initiatives and working closely with Operations in providing systems support. He is an expert in "Change Management, Creator of Great Workplaces, Business Paradigms and Builder of Competitive Edge" through the utilization of human capital to drive organizational performance at micro and macro levels.

Hussein Dajani

Chief Operating OfficerHug Digital

Hussein has over 13 years of solid Marketing Communication experience in the space leading and building integrated marketing practices within multinational agencies (JWT, Leo Burnett, and TBWA\) and client side (Fortune 500 companies - Virgin Mobile and Red Bull), across the Middle East and Africa region. Hussein was among the first batch of WPP MENA employees to receive the renowned WPP Young High Potential Leaders award from Sir Martin Sorrell (Chairman and Worldwide President of WPP) and Bob Jeffrey (Chairman and Worldwide President of JWT). At present, Hussein is working as a Marketing Communications Consultant in the MENA region, as Chief Operating Officer at Hug Digital, as a Digital Strategy and Social Media Marketing Lecturer at DM3 Institute, and as a Mentor at Turn8 and Arabreneur. Hussein is also a speaker at various conferences throughout the region (Social Media Summit, Marketing Kingdom, Saudi Mobile Conference, Young Arab Leaders, American University in Dubai, etc) and is a weekly guest speaker on Monte Carlo Radio discussing the latest innovations and trends in Telecom, Digital, Tech, Marketing, and Communication.
