Gary Duggan, Chief Retail Officer – New Markets, Barclays Bank Plc 

Gary is Chief Retail Officer for New Markets at Barclays, leading Barclays Retail banks in India, Pakistan, UAE and Russia. Gary joined Barclays in February 2007 as Managing Director of Consumer Lending. During Gary's time at Barclays his role evolved from MD Consumer Lending to MD Insurance & Investments in UK Retail Banking.  In October 2010 Gary moved from UK Retail Banking to the New Markets team, as Managing Director – Retail Products.  Before joining Barclays, Gary was Marketing & Cross Sell Director for GE Money Loans. Prior to GE he spent 20 years at HBOS in a variety of roles including Finance Director, Consumer Loans and Partnerships, and Head of Loans and Insurance. Gary is married with 4 children, 2 boys and 2 girls and enjoys watching football & spending time with his family and friends. 

David Schick, Head of Sales, Distribution and Service, Raiffeisen Bank International 

David Schick is a global banking executive with extensive experience in Retail Banking, Business Banking, Private Banking/ Wealth Management, Insurance and Cards. He currently works for Raiffeisen Bank International (RBI), one of the largest banks in CEE. At RBI, David has helped builed one of the most successful Affluent Banking businesses in the region, and as Head of Sales, Distribution and Service, has driven the performance of one of the largest branch networks in CEE. Prior to Raiffeisen, David was one of the top executives in Citigroup’s Global Consumer business. At Citi he focused on improving the effectiveness of key customer-facing areas across all Consumer product lines on a global level, including expansion of the wealth management proposition. Prior to that, David was responsible for Retail Banking and Card Sales and distribution strategies outside North America which generated $4bn in annual profit with particular emphasis on the markets of EMEA and Asia Pacific. He also held senior HR roles and was part of the senior team who integrated several multi-billion dollar acquisitions. Before Citigroup, David built one of the top-performing practices at Mercer Consulting.  Mr. Schick began his career in Corporate and Business Banking and is credit-trained.  His expertise is in the areas of  strategy, M&A, change management, sales & distribution, service, operations, marketing, product innovation and human capital productivity.

Annika Meurling, Head of Retail Business Development, Baltic Division, SEB

 Annika Meurling, born in Stockholm, Sweden is Head of Retail Business Development within SEB Baltic Division. She joined SEB in 1994 as Client Executive within Retail. In 2000, she moved on to development of SEB’s e-banking solutions and from 2002-2007 she was the SME Concept Manager, where she was held responsible for business development and strategies, and one of the key innovators behind SEB’s rewarded SME products. Prior to joining the Baltic Division in 2009, Ms. Meurling was also Head of Center of Excellence for SME business in Sweden, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania and Germany. Ms Meurling joined SEB from Uppsala University with a Masters in Economics. 

Simone Davi, Head of Commercial Planning & Controlling, Vice President Sales Retail Banking, UniCredit Bank

Simone is Head of Commercial Planning and Controlling, Vice President of Sales Retail Banking at UniCredit Bank. Simone is held responsible for Sales Campaigns Target Setting, Sales Budget, Forecast and Actual process of coordination, tactical and strategic business support to Head of Retail, A&L Volumes and Client Reporting. Prior to his current position Simone was Marketing Small Business Senior Professional – CEE Retail within Bank Austria, Italy, where he was responsible for quantitative analysis for the segment all across the CEE region, definition and set up of the strategic segmentation rules to identify high, mid and low profitability business customers and market potential analysis. Simone’s prior roles within UniCredit Bank includes roles such  as Retail Division Planning Senior Professional, where he was in charge of reporting activities to top executives on Lending and Deposits featuring Customer Volumes evolution, monitoring process, spanning from Italy to all Western and Eastern Europe countries. Moreover, Simone has worked as Marketing Small Business Expert and Branch clerk and mass-market segment advisor.

Timur Smirnov, Credit Cards Business Head, Citibank

Timur Smirnov is a product marketing and retail banking professional and is currently leading Citi’s credit cards business in Russia. He has significant experience in product development and marketing, finance, new market entries.
